Karen Huerth Whitty grew up in the food service equipment industry. The daughter of Carl "Binky" Huerth, whose fatherin-law, Carl Robert Peterson, founded the manufacturers' representative firm, C. R. Peterson Associates in 1946. Karen developed a new Hospitality & Design division, spurred by her interest in helping restaurant customers create an ambienceof warmth and welcoming in a setting with style and flair.
